Beautiful Waterfalls in Arizona

Feel like going on an adventure inside of one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the world? Make sure you check out the Havasu Falls nestled inside of the Grand Canyon in Arizona. These falls are not for the faint of heart. With over a ninety-foot drop and a ten-mile hike just to access the waterfall, these falls are definitely intended for a seasoned adventurer.

Known for it’s beautiful blue green waters, the Havasu Falls are named after the Havasupai tribe, the traditional guardians of the Grand Canyon. Havasupai roughly translates to “the people of the blue green water”. The water in these falls achieves it’s fascinating turquoise color from being stored underground for thousands of years in limestone caverns. Beneath the falls are several beautiful turquoise pools. We definitely recommend you jump in! Nothing better than relaxing in water after a long hike!

The ten mile hike to the falls will give you a beautiful view of the Grand Canyon, and after a couple of hours in the Arizona sun, we promise you will be looking forward to getting to the Havasu Falls! However, before arriving at the falls, make sure to stop into the Havasupai Indian Reservation and check out some of the restaurants and shops before continuing on your adventure to the Havasu Falls!

Looking to turn your trip to the Havasu Falls into a multi-day adventure? Make sure to check out the nearby campgrounds. Just be sure to make your reservations a couple months in advance!
