Beautiful Waterfalls in Colorado

Beautiful Waterfalls in Colorado

If you find yourself in Colorado this summer, we recommend you check out the tallest free falling waterfall in the state. In the city of Telluride, Colorado, lays the Bridal Veil Falls. This falls are 365 feet tall, and at the very top is a small historical power plant.

The hike up to the top of the falls is only 1.8 miles long. The hike can be completed within a couple of hours. However, there is a significant elevation change over the course of the hike. With a maximum elevation of a little over 10,000 feet, we are sure this waterfall will impress.

The Bridal Veil Falls are not the only thing that will impress you about this adventure. Alpine forests surround the hike up to the falls, and once you get to the top, you’ll get an amazing view of the San Juan mountain range. Don’t want to quit your hike at the top of the falls? Go explore the Bridal Veil Basin, filled with more trails, beautiful wild flowers, and alpine lakes.

The Bridal Veil Falls can be seen multiple ways. If you’re feeling adventurous, you can park at the base of the falls and hike your way to the top. Otherwise, there are several touring companies offering rides to the top of the falls.
